China January Hog Inventory Falls 1.8% on Month, Ministry Says
China’s hog herd inventory declined
1.8 percent in January from December to 46.5 million, the
Ministry of Agriculture said.
The inventory was 5.4 percent higher than a year ago, it
said in a statement on the central government’s website. The
number of breeding sows in January rose 0.5 percent from
December to 49.5 million, and was 2.1 percent more than a year
ago, it said.
